Founded in 2001, Operation Eternal Gratitude (OEG) at CB South counts more than 200 dedicated high school students as members who not only support active troops but gain life-long values from the hands-on experience. These students play wide-ranging and integral roles in gathering, assembling, and packaging goods in boxes weighing 35 to 45 pounds to ship to troops stationed overseas. The packages, which often include messages of gratitude from CB students, provide essential items and comfort to service members, reminding them they are thought of and cared for. The group's record for total weight of boxes is 11,337 pounds collected and shipped in the 2018-19 school year. As of early March, more than 5,600 pounds have been shipped this school year and more items are being collected for another shipment.

Students Brooke Rosica, Emma Luglio, and Rita Moskowitz, as well as teachers Frank Woodring and Stu Kesilman, were guests of Rep. Munroe, who is a veteran and a member of the House Veterans Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Committee.

Congratulations to CB South OEG and well done to all the students and teachers who are instrumental in the club's meaningful work!
